Instruction for Online Counseling use.

In order to read all of the sections in this forum and post your story, introducing yourself, you will need to register first.

Click on Register at the top of the forum page. You will choose a username and a password. You will then receive an email confirmation to validate your account.  When you are registered, log back in, using your username and password - and then you can post.

We suggest that you choose a username that no one will recognize. We also suggest using initials or stage names when referring to other people in your life.

Start your thread in either the public or private section, depending on the arrangements you have made with us.

Important . . . if you are a new member, your post will not show up on the forum right away! Unfortunately certain people have made it necessary for a moderator to approve new members. An admin is almost always on the forum on a daily basis, so you should be approved pretty quickly. We wish this weren't necessary, but it is what it is.

WELCOME!

You have come here for help - and you have come to the right place!

One thing you need to know ... our counselors will not work harder at your recovery than you will.

That means that once we post, we will not post again until you do, unless we have something to add. In order for online counseling to work, we need to be having a conversation. We need to know that you are doing what we suggest, or the reasons why you are not. We need to know what's working for you, and what's not. This needs to be an ongoing discussion, not a series of lectures by our counselors.

Remember that you are paying one fee per week, no matter how much, or how little, you post. You might as well get your money's worth. ;)
